The Best Music for a Corporate Party in Hawaii

A corporate party is the hardest room a DJ can play. You have got the CEO, the new hires, somebody's spouse who hates loud music, and a table in the back that wants to dance at seven o'clock. There is no single playlist that solves that. There is only a DJ who knows how to work it.

Start wide, not loud. During arrivals and dinner, the music is furniture. Motown, classic soul, mellow island reggae, smooth funk — songs everyone recognizes and nobody has to talk over. In Hawaii, a little local flavor goes a long way. Some slack key or contemporary Hawaiian during cocktails tells your out-of-town guests exactly where they are.
